Following their co-foundation of Akil Fikir İsleri in 2010, they did business with leading companies such as Turkish Airlines, Sony Entertainment and Warner Bros in the field advertisement and production.
After founding ES Films in 2014, their first project “Filinta” started to be broadcasted at TRT.
Yusuf Esenkal did his BA in Turkey’s Uludag University and his MA in the US. He started his professional career with a company he founded in the US in 2005. Following his decision to pursue his career in Turkey, he worked in senior positions in different business fields untih he founded Akil Fikir İşleri in 2010, with Serdar Ogretici. Founding Es Films in 2014, he left his footprints in Turkish TV sector with the series “Filinta”, which is one of the biggest productions in Turkey and has enjoyed a successful run. He started doing international production projects in 2015 and since then has been adapting Turkish stories to Hollywood standards of production in partnership with Los Angeles based Eastern Sunrise Films. Holding senior positions in various charity foundations and private sector companies, Esenkal is married with two children.
He did his BA in Turkey’s Marmara University, his MA in the US. Following his directorship education in New York Film Academy, he came back to Turkey in 2005. Working as executives in different companies, he founded Akil Fikir İsleri, with Yusuf Esenkal, in 2010. He launched successful projects national and worldwide many of which were granted prizes. Founding Es Films in 2014, he enjoyed a successful run with the series “Filinta”, marking one of the biggest productions in Turkey. Starting international production projects in 2015, he has been adapting Turkish stories to Hollywood standards of production in partnership with Los Angeles based Eastern Sunrise Films. He is married with two children.
